Do I need a referral?
No, a referral is not required. You can book an appointment directly with us. However, please check with your insurance provider if a written referral is required to make claims.
What is the cost?
Our fees are as below:
- Initial assessment/screening (60 minutes): €120
- Therapy sessions (45 minutes): €100
- Detailed assessment report: (depending on number of hours) €100/hour
- Block sessions: we will explain you the fee structure during the initial assessment.
- “Regulate, Connect and Play” parent coaching program: (block of total 6 sessions conducted fortnightly) €120 for each session
- Any specific assessments such as Neuro developmental assessment, diagnostic assessment (e.g. DCD) or assessment for Assistive Technology, we will quote you based on the number of hours (€100/hour) spent.
Upon payment you will be issued a receipt. Many of our families maintain this receipt for tax purposes and/or for reimbursement through their medical / health insurance plan.
What does an assessment look like?
For many children, it looks like play. We will ask you a variety of questions, build rapport with you and your child, and do a combination of play based assessments and/or standardised assessments that have your child look at pictures, draw, respond to questions, complete daily activities, run, jump, and demonstrate their balance skills. In fact, many children can’t wait to return!
Are the assessment and treatment sessions covered under the health insurance?
Prasanta is registered with Association of Occupational Therapists in Ireland and CORU. Therefore, the services offered at Sensory Solutions Paediatric Therapy services are covered by most health insurers. You should contact your insurance provider / check your policy document to clarify what your plan covers.
What is Telehealth?
We are delighted to offer telehealth or online support. One of the ways we can better support our families who have difficulty attending appointments in person is to use our online service. At Sensory Solutions Paediatric Therapy services, we adhere to the same standards of care during telehealth as in face-to-face therapy.
What is your Cancellation policy?
If you can not attend or need to reschedule your appointment, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance. This would allow us to offer appointment to another child on the waiting list.
